8 Month Update!

What a rainy past two days it has been here in Georgia. All I have to say is YUCK! This kind of weather makes me want to curl up in bed and stay there all day!

Today was our 32 week doctor appointment and everything went wonderful. The doctor said that everything from last weeks ultrasound not only look good but great! She also said that my weight and blood pressure were looking very good. So overall I got an A+ at todays appointment :) She did say that I need to start doing fetal movement checks daily. That is where you count how many times you feel the baby move within a two hour period. You have a ten hour window to do it in, so if you don't feel ten fetal movements in two hours within a ten hour period it could mean that the baby is in distress.

I have another appointment scheduled in 2 weeks at their Northside office in Atlanta because they were totally booked at the office I usually go to. I hope I don't get lost going there! That will be our 34 week checkup, then we'll go 2 weeks later for a 36 week checkup, and then we'll start going weekly.

Last night Josh and I stayed home and relaxed which was really nice. We had dinner on the sofa and watched TV and then just layed around all night and watched the belly move. It was so funny...Josh was sitting on the couch playing the guitar watching Tristyn move around. My belly was going in a wave motion from side to side and then it would start jumping all of the sudden. A couple of times Josh screamed out "EWWWW!" or started laughing at the movements. I think last night was the first time he has gotten to actually see her move. It is such an amazing sight.

Tonight Emily, Karla, and Tasha are coming over and we are going to grab a bite to eat at Sonia's Mexican Restaurant in Buford and then go see the Magical Nights of Lights at Lake Lanier Islands. I went out and bought Jessica Simpson's Christmas album so we could enjoy some Christmas music during the ride. I'm looking forward to seeing the girls, it should be fun.

Tomorrow I'm going to get up and go to work with Josh so that we can leave right at 2pm to head to Barnesville to see his Dad's side of the family. The day before Thanksgiving they usually roast a turkey and do a big cookout. I'm imagining the traffic is going to be horrible so we will probably only get to stay for a couple of hours seeing how it's a 2 or 3 hour drive without traffic.

Thursday we are having Thanksgiving breakfast and dinner with the Jackson side of the family at Glenn and Beverly's house in Sugar Hill. I am looking forward to spending the day with everyone just lounging around and hanging out. We always have a good time when we are together :)

Saturday at 11am Josh and I are heading to Northside Hospital Women's Center for our grand tour of the place. They said it would be an hour long tour. I am excited to get to see the place and become comfortable with it before I go into labor. This weekend I also plan on packing my hospital and labor bags just in case...you never know when something might happen!

Tristyn's armoire is still not here. I don't know what's going on with it now. It was supposed to be shipped out last Monday but it still has not been. I am starting to get very frustrated. I have so much to do in her room and I need the storage space.

Oh...exciting news! Josh's brother Jeremy proposed to his girlfriend of 3 years, Ju. They are offically engaged and have already set a wedding date of September 10th, 2005. We are very happy for the both of them. Ju couldn't be a sweeter girl. Jeremy sure lucked out ;) hehehe

Well, I am going to love on the puppies a little and then straighten up the house before the girls get here at 5:30. I hope everyone has a safe and happy Thanksgiving holiday!
