Almost 6 Weeks Old!

Well, here we are almost in the month of March and Tristyn is nearly 6 weeks old. The time has just flown by since Tristyn arrived into the world, and it sure has been fun. I cannot believe our little baby girl is getting so big. Her personality is really starting to show and I am so in love with it. The past couple of days Tristyn has been a little crabby but I'm told by good sources that it is just a phase. Josh is worried that she has become spoiled by being held a lot from all of the visitors during the past several weeks. My philosophy on that is that children are only small like this for a short while so why not spoil them? I know some of you might think that this is a horrible philosophy to parent by but I want to truly spoil my daughter and let her know that she is loved. They are only needly for so long and then they become independent so quickly. It is such a wonderful feeling to know that all your child wants if for you to hold them, knowing that cuddling them will make them calm down and feel comforted. Maybe it is a first-time-parent thing but I really enjoy spoiling her.

Tonight we had dinner with Stephanie and Ben, our neighbors. Josh and I really had a great time. They cooked us dinner and then we played a game of poker, which they have been teaching us the past two nights. As it turns out it is a really fun game, maybe Josh and I will start playing more. They have two little girls who are absolutely adorable and coudln't be sweeter if they tried :) I can only hope that they and Tristyn will grow up to be good friends. I have always wanted to have a life long friend but it never worked out in my favor!

Besides our recent hang outs with our new friends nothing else has been going on. The visitors have slowed down which has been a much welcomed relief. We really do not have any plans for the weekend so we are game for anything. You know Josh and I cannot stay in the house for too long so I am sure we will be off galavanting sometime this weekend. Tomorrow I hope to get the house in order while Josh watches Tristyn but I am sure that will not happen, it never does!

This upcoming week I am attending a "Mom's Night Out" with the neighborhood playgroup. I am very excited to meet all of the women but I am also a little intimidated because of my age. I can only hope they see me for who I am and not by the number of years I have been on this Earth. We'll see how it goes, I'll update you next week. I am very excited to meet all of them. If they are anything like Stephanie I'm sure I will like them a lot.

Josh and I have been talking about getting more involved with our church. We have not been since Tristyn has been born and that is really sad, we need to go. I think we are going to start going back on Sunday and hopefully we will attend regularly. We have not seen Jeremy & Nicole in a while so maybe we will run into them on Sunday. I hope to be able to keep Tristyn with me the entire time, I do not know how I would feel about putting her in the nursery...we will see how it goes though.

Well., it's already 1:15am so I better sign off for tonight.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend :)

Tay
