4 Months!

Tristyn turned 4 months old on May 17th. I cannot believe how fast time flies once you have a child. I feel like just last month I found out that I was pregnant. The past four months have been the greatest months of my life. Being a Mother is the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me. It has been so much fun watching Tristyn grow into such a happy little girl. It is hard to imagine what the next four months have in store for us. I am sure she will be a handful by then, maybe crawling and surely eating baby foods. It is so exciting to think about what all she is going to learn to do in the next few months.

Today we had her 4 month checkup at the Pediatrician. Things went very well overall. She weighed in at 13lbs 5oz and measured 25 1/2 inches long. Just last Tuesday she was only 12lbs 9oz, she's a little porker! I could not believe she had gained nearly 1lb in a week. I even had the nurse weigh her twice to make sure. Tristy had four shots and was such a little champ. She did not even make a peep until the third shot! Both the nurse and I were very impressed. Here is a picture of her sleeping off the shots, take notice of the cute little bandaids on her thighs!

I am going to start trying the rice cereal again this week. I did not tell you all this but for some reason she stopped taking it almost 2 weeks ago. Everytime I try to give it to her she scrunches up her face and spits it out. At first she really liked it so I do not know what changed. The plan is to try her on the cereal for a week and then introduce vegetables. I am very excited to see how she reacts with new tastes. If she does not do too well then I might hold off on the veggies until 5 months.

She is still rolling over daily. It seems like she has learned how to do it much better and it doesn't take nearly as long as it used to for her to turn over. She is also holding her head up very well. The doctor said that her gross motor skills were excellent. She is already grabbing at things and pulling toys up to her mouth. I am really impressed by what all she has done in the past several weeks.

Tomorrow is our wedding anniversary. We do not have any big plans. I think we may just stay at home and grill steaks and rent a few movies. I am excited to spend some time together at home without cleaning or doing laundry. I will update on Wednesday and let you all know how it went ;)

Last thing - I am having some problems with my Kodak EasyShare software. Everytime I try to e-mail pictures it says that the sever cannot be reached. Does anyone know what that means or how to fix it? If so please comment, I really need to get it working again.

Your little girl is such a cutie! Good luck with the baby food. Em hated (and still does) the cereal, we always had to mix fruit with it. Happy Anniversary! Oh, I wanted to tell you about the picasa.com You said you were having a problem with your software and this one is free and is awesome. It is so user friendly and you can import your pics from you camera as well with it. My dad told me about it and I love it! Hope you have a great time with your hubby!

Aww, poor Tris! My son just went through that and I think they even use the same bandaids! LOL! How horrible he screamed!
I have a Kodak EasyShare as well, but I haven't used the software as of yet, I have Picasa2 and I love it! Maybe some day I will use my kodak software, but for now, I really like Picasa! You should try that!
Hope all works well with the cereal!

Thanks for visiting me - come back anytime!

My daughter is 17 months old - just wait! You think things are great when they are just a few months old - but I find this time, where she is learning to talk, and kissing, and hugging, and all that good stuff, to be sooooo awesome. You will just love it!

Your daughter is just beautiful, and I love her name!

Love bandaids on cute chubby baby thighs! LOL. So awful when they get shots. I can remember the look of shock mine would get, like "You're really doing this to me??!" and then they'd open their mouths in this silent heart wrenching cry before the little gargly scream would come out. LOL.

Happy Anniversary! Have fun! :)

Awwww! Our babies are the same age! My twin girls were born January 18th - we just took them for their wellbaby checkup and shots today.

I found your site after you left a comment on my ThriftyMama blog - I love it! Your daughter is just a DOLL! Those pictures in the little heirloom hat - oh, they just take my breath away. I know you'll treasure them in years to come!
