Fun in the Sun

We have just arrived home from Tristyn's first visit to the beach. Josh, Tristyn, and I met Josh's parents in Myrtle Beach on Tuesday night. We stayed in their condo at the South Beach Resort, which was extremely nice. Tristyn had a lot of firsts during her trip to Myrtle Beach. The first day we were there went headed out to Broadway on the Beach to go to Ripley's Believe It Or Not Aquarium. Tristyn absoultely loved it. Even though she is only three months old she really enjoyed looked at all of the brightly colored fish. Below is a picture of her eyeing the glow-in-the-dark fishys.

We also got to see the Budweiser Clydesdales Horses. They were on display under a giant tent for Harley Week. Those horses are gigantic, I have seen them before but never that upclose. Here is a picture of Josh and Tristyn with the horses.

We hung around the condo a lot because Tristyn had to take her naps, eat, etc. Several nights we went out to eat and drove around the beach. Harley Week began this weekend so all of the bikers were flowing in. It was really neat to see all of the bikes and hear the contant roar of the engines. Although, when we would drive down the road and a hog would pass Tristyn would start crying. I guess she doesn't like Harley's as much as her Momma does :(

Thursday afternoon we hit the beach. Tristyn got her toes in the sand for the first time. She seemed to enjoy squishing it between her bitty toes. We layed her on a blanket under the umbrella and she fell straight to sleep. I am guessing the hum of the ocean waves knocked her out.

On Friday it was overcast so we did not go outside much. In the late afternoon we took Tris to the pool and I got in with her. She seemed to like it a lot, I could not get her to quit staring at the water. In the picture below is the face she made the entire 15 minutes we were in the water!

We left Myrtle Beach late last night and did not arrive back in Georgia until close to 3:30am. Needless to say we slept in today, then got up and started cleaning house. We scrubbed it from one end to the other - I am convinced my husband is a "Clean Queen"! He has worked my tail off! Tonight we are having dinner at Mom's and picking up the pups, she kept them while we were gone. She gave Trooper a trimming so I am anxiously waiting to see what he looks like. I will post some pictures of him tomorrow.
Funny story that I forgot to mention earlier...Josh has found an "evil laugh" that makes Tristyn bust out in tears as soon as she hears it. It is so hilarous! If he does it she immediately scrunches her face up and starts wailing. Got to get that on video!

LOVE the bathing suit & matching hat... must be Gymboree! I'm debating whether or not I should get Gabrielle a bathing suit this summer since she's so young, or just wait until next summer. Those suits are just so darn cute!

Glad you had a fun time!
