Sleepless in Buford

What can I say, today I have been running on fumes. My "check engine" light is on and I'm about to stall. Last night was a rough night with Tristyn. She was up screaming, and wouldn't stop. Josh was trying to sleep so we went into her bedroom and I tried to comfort her. I thought she might have had gas so I slipped her some mylicon drops, but relief was nowhere in sight. I rocked her for several minutes and she was still wide awake so we went downstairs so she could sit in the swing. She conked out and I tried putting her in the bed with me so I could get some rest, as soon as her head hit the sheets she began to wail. Back downstairs we went. This time she fell asleep on my chest - we ended up back in my bed this morning but I have no recollection of how we got there, scary. As a first time Mother I am questioning what her problem was...was she so tired that she would not let herself go to sleep? Does she have the beginnings of an ear infection? Is she already started to teethe? Any advice is welcomed! Here is a picture of her this afternoon - a repeat of the wee hours of this morning.

So far I have been blessed with an angel child that never fusses unless something is wrong - please do not let this be the beginning of some new behavior! If so, I will probably become bald from pulling out all of my hair!

OK - I'm off to be delirious from lack of sleep. I think I have a pot of spaghetti sauce on the stove...hope it's not burnt up!

Hi, I am so sorry to hear about your bad night. That is soo hard. I hope that you were able to catch up on some sleep. Question, are you still nursing her? Maybe something different that you ate. Like Diana said, it could be a # of things. Is she tugging at her ears? Is she drooling? Drooling might mean teething. It is always hard to read these little people. If it keeps up I would call your doctor. Especially if it is not like her normal behavior. Remember, there are no stupid questions. Good luck!
