You can't catch me Mommy! I'll just scramble away!

Debuting her new teeth.

a pretty pose for Mommy
This week we haven't done much of anything. Tristyn is still cutting teeth (we're working on #8 now) so she's had an attitude. I've recently started disciplining her, so that's my new source of stress. I feel as if I need to start now because of the things she has been doing lately. When she is mad and you tell her 'no' she whines and slaps your hands. I think I'm in trouble, serious trouble with this attitude. If she already has one I think it will only get worse as she begins to walk and talk.
If you haven't noticed I will just go ahead and tell you - I am an obsessive list maker and planner. I have already typed up my Christmas list (of who we need to buy for), what gift we are getting for them, and our spending limit for each person. I have also made Tristyn's wish list which includes pictures. Fisher-Price has some really great toys out this year. Nearly everything on Tristyn's list is made by them. I really hope that she gets some great educational toys for Christmas and her birthday this year. As you know I keep another baby during the week so I not only need toys for Tristyn anymore. I am actually thinking of turning our office into a playroom for the kids. I think that would make it a lot easier on me with the cleaning.
I've also started planning Tristyn's 1st birthday party (which isn't until January). I have done the guest list and have picked out the plates, etc. I've also already got several recipes that I'm planning on making. I think I am going to make all of the food for her party. I've been cooking a lot lately and I am really enjoying it. A lot of the food is going to be "cute food"...I cannot elaborate because I want it to be a surprise to everyone. Her invitation is also finished, I made it myself. I'm getting a great headstart! LOL!
This evening we're headed out to Virginia for the weekend. We probably will not arrive at our hotel until 3-4am tomorrow. On Saturday I think we'll hit up the Virginia Aquarium and have lunch at my favorite local greasy spoon. I would really like to take a drive out to my old stomping grounds but I have a feeling that Josh will not want to. I really love the Hampton Roads area, this trip is going to be hard for me as I do not know when I will get to go back, if I ever do. My Dad & Stepmom fly in late Saturday night so we will not see them until Sunday when we meet for breakfast. We're meeting the friends I talked about a couple posts ago Heather and family (the boy Nick who just died, his family). I'm really nervous about the reunion because I haven't seen them in atleast 5 years and I am so unsure of what to say to a grieving family. I know it will go well, but still wish me luck.
I'm leaving you with a couple more pictures of Tristy. Have a wonderful weekend everyone :)

Oh her teeth are so cute! And congrats on the weight thing :)
I am so with you on the pre-planning thing. I've already got my Christmas list made out too....and some odds n ends for Gracie's b-day party too! LOL.
Her pics, as usual, are so adorable!!! Look at all those teeth!
I love the video at the bottom too. What a great touch!
Look. at. her. teeth. Oh my goodness!
I'm in denial, I'm putting planning off b/c I can't believe they are going to be 1!
I love her sitting in her puffs..LOL.
Hey Taylor. I'm sorry you can't elaborate on the food because of me. I know you meant me when you typed that =)
Have a safe and fun weekend. I love the picture of Tristyn crying. Looks like she got caught trying to eat all of her treats!
she's just sooo beautiful! I LOVE the first pic! Adorable!
Great job with the weightloss, girl! :) ... I love the photos - look at those blue eyes. The one of her crying is so funny. (Is that mean of me? LOL.)
I'm a list maker as well - especially this time of year!
Can't wait to see what the "cute food" is.
As for disciplining early - very wise, my friend! I started early with mine and they are constantly being complimented on their good behavior by family and strangers. The type of discipline depends on the child. I believe in light spankings when necessary but they're not my first choice. We use time outs, loss of priveledges (this can be a hard concept for very young children), or just simply verbal reprimands. With a child the age of Tristyn, when she gets upset about being told "No" and slaps your hands, I would take hold of both her hands, look in her eyes and say, "I know your frustrated but you don't hit." ... After awhile she'll understand.
Um, yeah, that's my unsolicited discipline advice. LOL.
Good luck on your trip.
Tee - I really do appreciate the advice and I will try that with her. Thanks so much girl!
