On Monday Tristyn had her cast removed after 3 extremely long weeks of hobbling around. Originally I was not going to be able to be with her for the appointment but I had to take Jackson to the doctor that same day because he was up the night before with a fever. I fully expected her to freak out when they used the saw to cut off the cast but she kept quiet the entire time. She did not really know what to think of the cast being gone from her leg. She actually tried to put it back on! Tristyn is now in a full leg brace that is made from foam to help strengthen her knee and leg muscles before she begins walking unassisted. For the first day and a half she would not walk on it. She constantly said "leg hurt" and cried for me to hold her. Tuesday she stayed the night with my Mom (we attended a wake) and the next morning she began to walk around just find. Today she acts like nothing has ever happened and it isn't bothering her a bit. Hopefully in the next week or so we will be able to remove the brace and she will be free!
Jackson came down with the same cold Tristyn had last week. He developed a little cough and so I brought him to the Pediatrican on Monday to have him checked out. She monitored his oxygen level and also tested him for the flu but all was fine. The Ped kept close tabs on him for the next several days, even calling twice to check in on him. After several nights of the humidifier and a few doses of Tylenol he is almost completely recovered. I really did not expect him to get sick seeing as how I am breastfeeding but this cold was a really nasty one that most of the kids had a hard time shaking. Thank goodness Spring is just around the corned...I'm am so done with sickies!
We spent an hour or so playing outside today. Tris really enjoyed herself but got frustrated several times because she could not ride her bike or play well in her car because of the brace. I ended up pushing her around the neighborhood in her car with her legs sticking out of the side. I am sure that was a sight!
Nothing new to report here. I don't even have any new pictures!

It's good to be back :) I tried looking at your Baby Bottoms 2 one, but it's still under invited readers only.
Glad to hear Tris got her cast off. I can't imagine how difficult that'd be with a 2-yr-old!!!
Hope everyone's feeling better soon!!!
I can totally understand being so busy and forgetting to update the blog! How cool that your little one has her cast off!
About the camera.. I have a Nikon.
A lot of my online photograhy buddies have Canon, though, and love it.
