I cannot believe that Jackson will be 5 months old on Sunday...my how the time is flying so quickly. He is turning into a little man right in front of us and we are loving every second of it. I am trying to get in a little blogging while he is lying on the floor swatting at his play gym and growling like a dinosaur, one of his newest quirks.
3 weeks ago we had his 4 month well check and things went fine. He weighed 12lbs 15oz and was 25 1/2" long. The pediatrician was a little concerned about his growth because he was int he 25% for height and weight but has been since birth. Today we went for Tris' checkup and she noticed how much weight J had gained since starting cereal and was curious to see how much he had gained. He now weighs 14lbs 9oz! What a porker that boy is. Speaking of cereal, he's so addicted. The routine is down pat with a 8:30am feeding of 1/4 cup oatmeal/rice mixture and then again at 8-8:30pm, just before bedtime. He is still not quite sleeping through the night but I am dealing with it. We are still co-sleeping with him at night but during the day I try to put him in the crib as much as possible. At times he will take cat naps in the swing, which he just started liking last week, or in the bouncer.
I must say that I feel quite blessed to have yet another easy going and sweet child. He is much like Tristyn was as an infant but a little more talkative and laughs a ton more. He loves laughing and will laugh at the simplest things. Yesterday while walking down the stairs I had his paci string in my mouth and he found that quite amusing. Needless to say, that little laugh just melts my already soft heart. Having a son is so much fun and I am thankful everyday that I have had the chance to experience the love of a daughter and son. There is nothing like it!
Tristyn is doing well and finally beginning to fill out. She is still quite slender (25%) at 26lbs but very tall at 3ft (95%). She had CBC done today and everything looked well. She met all of the developmental milestones for her age and has started speaking much better the past 3 weeks. Some of her favorite phrases are "You feed him?", "Tristyn sorry", "Jacksie crying, what wrong?", "Where daddy? Daddy wok?". Yesterday I asked where Daddy was and she replied in the cutest little voice "makin' money!" what a ham! Wonder who taught her that?
I have so much to update but the little dinosaur is getting grouchy. It is way passed his bedtime and he is letting me know. We all just got back from the gym because I recently joined with Ju and we've been "getting our workout on" the past few days. I feel so much lighted and less stressed, and LOVE having an hour or two to myself daily. I cannot wait to see the results of our hard work, hopefully soon.
We are headed to the beach, I hope to maybe update from there!

Happy 5 months, Jackson! Sounds like he's really enjoying that cereal! Hope he starts sleeping through the night soon.
Holy cow...FIVE months?!? It just seems like yesterday. Although my baby is 14 months and I still can't even believe it.
Yay for getting gym time for yourself. What a great stress relief and be kid free while working out. Sounds like a perfect plan to me.
That's so cute about Tristyn. They really do say the darnest things!
Oh Taylor, I am so proud of you!! You are settling into this two kids thing quite nicely it seems! :) Umm, we need some update pics! LOL!
Hi Taylor!
Tracye sent me this link. I'm a friend of hers from her TV days and the last email address I have for her won't work. Can you forward mine to her?
