- Tristyn's surgery is scheduled for Wednesday, August 15th to have tubes placed in her ears and her adenoids removed. Her pre-op appointment in the Monday before surgery. We are all looking forward to seeing how much better the child feels once everything is done and she has healed. We are all most excited about seeing how her speech develops as she will finally be able to hear normally!
- Potty training is in full swing and she has done wonderfully. It has almost been 2 months since she has been out of diapers and she is doing great. She enjoys telling us when she has to go and loves making funny noises while she's sitting there. What a ham! Just this week I've taken away her little potty and we are working on using just the potty seat. I tried getting her to just use the toilet but she always wants to get down and put her little cushy seat on.
- Last night at dinner we had ice cream and she was having a fit talking about "frinkles". No one had any idea what she meant and we kept asking her to repeat herself. Finally she said "Yamaw, up...come wif me" and lead Gamaw to the sprinkles for her ice cream. DUH! How could we not have known that is what she was talking about!
- Jackson cut his first two teeth the week before last. He now has two teethies on the bottom and looks absolutely adorable. His baby look is slowly fading away and he is starting to resemble a little boy as each day passes.
- He has started pulling up onto his knees while playing with is dinosaur toy. He loves being up high but gets very irritated when he falls. Today he began getting up on all fours and trying to take crawl steps. Earlier he saw a baby spoon on the floor and quickly army crawled over to get. That was the first time he has moved so quickly and efficiently. I bet he will be full fledged crawling within the week!
- I took a break from writing this and went in to check on him playing and he had gone from a crawling stance to sitting! The boy is just full of new tricks these days.
We're getting ready for vacation so I may post before we leave, if not I hope to once we return!
