Jackson's Progress

Jackson has surprised us all and has continued using the potty over the past week. During the day while we are home he normally runs around with just a shirt on so he is able to easily get to the potty in time. He has done remarkably well over the past few days, even going #2 on the big potty and child size potty. He's had a few accidents, normally when he is upset about something, but he seems to realize what is going on, stop and run into the bathroom and continue his business on the potty. Sunday we went and got him some pull-ups, which don't seem to work at all...but we'll keep them around anyway. He has also been staying dry during his sleep and going first thing when he gets up on the potty. This morning he actually woke me up so I could take him.

Tristyn has been extremely helpful with the potty training. She will take him to bathroom and get him situated on the potty with his reading material and stay in there and chat with him. She thinks it is so neat that her little bro is tired of wearing diapers!

Hopefully the trend will continue, we all are working hard!

COngrats Jackson!!! I have this really good e-book if you want it I can email you a copy. Nolen started right before his second birthday and was doing super good until we went to Disney and I just dropped the ball, so when we came back from Disney the 2nd time I started back up and he was doing well again, until Eli was born and the NICU thing I just got completely off track so again *I* dropped the ball. So I've been trying to get him back on track and he was doing ok but not well like before so someone recommended this book and I got it and said train in 3 days (which isn't like full on ) but if he is already doing this well this might help you take it to the next level! One thing she said was no pull ups because it confuses them because if it looks like a duck and smells like a duck its a duck, so we went ahead and moved him to underwear and he has been dry and NO accidents since Wednesday.Thursday, we even went to Target last night in big boy pants and again no accidents so I think we are on the right track and I am going to follow her advice and no pull ups or diapers during waking hours. Anyways didn't meant to get off on all that but just wanted to let you know that it is a really good book and not terribly long and mght help! Hope your well!
