Jackson started t-ball last month and has been loving it! We started off with two practices a week for several weeks, which got him used to being out on the field and gave him a little practice at hitting the ball. Two weeks ago was the first scrimmage game and he did really well. He got a hit off of a pitch and we were really impressed. The following Monday the team, the Boston Red Sox, has their first game. Unfortunately our team lost, but the boys did great and had a wonderful time out on the field. Thursday was their second game and we won by a good bit. Jackson hit another off of a pitch and we were all stoked! He didn't strike out at all and actually made it to third base, but no runs. Coach Russell gave Jackson the game ball for being one of the youngest players and getting his first hit. Jackson was SO proud, he still carries his gameball with him everywhere. It gets me a little misty eyed because he is so proud of himself, it is hard to believe he is big enough to even understand the game. I have really loved going and watching the practices and games. I am looking forward to the many years we'll spend on the ball field. Gooooo Red Sox!!!!]
