The Next Big Step

Last night was a monumental night in the history of Tristyn's growth and development. She slept in her room, in her crib, alone, for the entire night. I am so proud of my ever changing little ball of joy! As I mentioned in my last post the past several weeks have been a real nightmare when it comes to her sleeping habits. So when I laid her down in the bassinet for the night she started squirming and fussing, she was previously fast asleep in the middle of our bed. Josh told me to put her into her crib for the night, I hesitated but then thought I might as well give it a try. I have continued to tell myself that I would put her in her room when she was three months old, and that anniversary is almost here and gone. I sucked up the fear of leaving her alone for the entire night and decided to give it a try. I fooled around with the monitor for several minutes making sure it was in prime position to catch any slight sound of movement, breathing, sucking, or choking. When I finally put myself in bed for the night I was exhausted from running back and forth to her room checking on her. Unbelievably, I slept the best I have since my second night home from the hospital when I took a Tylenol PM.

I promised a post before the end of the week, so here it is! I am off to start the homemade spaghetti sauce recipe from my girlfriend, Diana. I cannot wait to taste it!
