Information Overload!

There are so many things that I want to post about...so where do I begin? Hmm...

On Tuesday we went over to Mom's house for dinner seeing how we hadn't seen them in nearly a week. My stepfather (Papaw) was holding Tristyn and Sarge (my chihuahua) kept trying to get in his face. First of all I guess I need to give you a little background on Sarge. He is a lick-aholic. Something is wrong with this dog. He licks your hands, feet, face, and even the air! Okay back to the story...Tristyn must have been amazed by Sarge (even though she sees him daily) and started belting out these cute little hilarious laughs! She would not stop laughing at him. The giggles just melted my heart. I was so excited that her Daddy, Gamaw, and Papaw got to hear it. So the girl has a fascination with puppies. Well, today I had her on the floor (yes, she was on a blanket!) and I was in the other room (probably on this computer!). When I walked into the living room she was on her tummy staring at Trooper who was spasticly barking in her face. He really enjoys playing with her, always pawing and barking. Again, she belted out the giggles. SOOOOOO cute! I am glad she is laughing on a regular basis now, but why does it have to be at the dogs?! Can't Mommy and Daddy be funny too?!

Today she had carrots for the first time and loved them. She would 'coo' and 'ahh' when I put the spoon to her mouth. She would make a razzing sound as soon as the spoon hit her tongue and carrots flew everywhere! I am thrilled that she likes veggies, guess she got it from her Momma and Daddy ;)

As I have been doing this post Tristyn woke up. She was in her crib asleep and just started screaming. Usually when she wakes up it takes a while for her to get upset, she'll move around for a while and coo. The past 2 nights she has awoken from a deep sleep and started crying. I went upstairs and brought her back down with hubby and I. I tried to put her in the swing and she started screaming. It is like she doesn't want to be alone. If we lay her on the floor she will cry, but if the dogs are entertaining her she will laugh. Does this make sense to any experienced mothers? She is drooling up a storm so maybe she is teething? Would that answer unexplained waking and screaming?

I took some pictures of Tristyn's room this afternoon and wanted to share.

What an adorable room! I'm sure she's probably teething. Gracie started teething at 7 wks. (if you can believe that). Now, she's drooling up a storm. Thankfully she doesn't get sick or get feverish.

But, about your mood lately, girl, I totally hear ya. You don't know why or how, you just know you are. We'll hang in there together!

LOL about the dog. A friend of mine has a baby about a month older than Tristyn and she always laughs at their doggie.

Tristyn's room is beautiful. I love the artwork on the walls. Did you do that yourself?

And of course, I love Tristyn's middle name. I didn't know that it was Alyssa until I saw that sign in her bedroom.

As for her waking up, that is exactly what Alyssa did when she started teething.

Sounds like Miss Tris is developing a bubbly little personality. It's exciting that she is so amused and stimulated by her doggies. You're very lucky--the pups give her hours and hours of enjoyment as she develops. What could be more interesting than watching Sarge lick at the air?!
Now my next request: Please get the giggling on tape! I'm dying to see her jocularity in action.
Love you,
T.

What a beautiful room!! I'm jealous. Wish I could paint flowers in my boy's room. ROFL. Did you do that yourself?

As for laughing at the dogs - that's adorable! I love those belly laughs! You should record them so you can listen to them any time! Non medicinal anti depressant! LOL.

As for the dogs - come on! Dogs are much better than Mom and Dad. LOL. Do this for me, imagine you're in a room, sitting on the floor. The room is FULL of cute little fluffy puppies. They're jumping and playing and nipping and rolling around and licking you with their cute puppy breath... You smiled, didn't you?

See, dogs are good. :)

Love the room! Just beautiful!
(I had to laugh when you said you had her on the floor on a blanket...its so sad that we have to spell everything out now lest people start accusing us of being bad mothers.)
I think she's teething. But what do I know?

wow--- the room is beautiful!!!

when I see rooms decorated so nice, it makes me wish we found out ahead of time what rhena would be...

oh well... it just gives me good ideas for when she moves into her real room!!! great job!

have a wonderful weekend!

PS... as for teething... rhena went through a MAJOR spell of drooling in february (she was 4 1/2 months then) then it stopped, and recenty started again. she just got her first tooth yesterday (8 1/2 months old!!)

good luck!!!! rub the gums now with a washcloth during her bath to start helping her get used to brushing... it also helps teeth cut through when they're near the surface!

I LOVEEEEEE it!!!! I cannot believe how adorable it is! Oh, I want a girl so bad. How do you ever leave the room . . . it is seriously so dreamy!!?? I love the furniture and armoire!! I she is a lucky little princess!:)

Okay, how funny is it that your dog is named "Sarge"? Our chihuahua is named "Marcello" - they seriously take on these little characters, don't they?! Marcello is a total lick-a-holic too. He cannot get enough of it! What is the deal?! I think that is so cute the Tris is laughing at him. I wish that we could hear her little baby laugh! Myles cries whenever Marcello gets near to him because he mauls him by licking him everywhere. Uggh, oh well, at least they are good vacuum cleaners!
