Rashy Redness

So Tristy has a rash on the tops of her arms and sometimes on the tops of her thighs and feet. I have no idea what it is but I am hoping it's not Fifth Disease. The rash appeared on Saturday morning after she woke up. I called the pediatrician Saturday afternoon and they never returned my call. I am going to call first thing in the morning to schedule an appointment. I also want them to look at her face, she has a red bump on her cheek that has been there for several months. I asked them about it at her 4 month checkup and they didn't seem to be concerned. It has gotten a little bigger and redder so I want them to check it out or refer me to a specialist.

In other news...Tristyn spent the night away from home last night! She stayed with my Mom (Gamaw and Papaw). Josh and I went to dinner with the neighborhood group and decided that Mom was going to keep her for the night. Of course I was a total worry wart but I did great. I got to sleep in the morning which was wonderful! I feel very rested and fresh this afternoon ;) Tris did really well at her Gamaw's. Although she threw up all of the carrots she had eaten for lunch. Maybe she has a food allergy? I am not sure if that is what is causing the rash so I stopped the carrots and gave her applesauce today. I had lined up sweet potatoes and squash for her to try next but I figured I would just give her a fruit until I talked to the Dr. I will update tomorrow on how the appointment went.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!

i hope tris is feeling better. a rash could mean a lot of things but it's usually something minor. if your family has a history of allergies, then tris can most likely inherit that.

if it's hot there, make sure she's not all that bundled up. sometimes, babies skins just need to be "aired out".

Poor girl. I hope the rash goes away. You got to sleep in! I'm SO jealous.

Yes, we have the same crib!

Taylor - Thanks for coming by my blog! I commented back to you about the message boards thingie. Glad Tristyn is a great sleeper too... I feel sooo lucky! Liam had a rash too I posted a pic of it. It ended up being hives. Still no idea where it came from and it went away after about 4 days. He was also showing them when he woke from naps/sleep and then they'd disappear after 30 mins or so.

We might be leading the same life right now....my Princess had a rash on Saturday that started on her arms and spread across her whole body. I called the dr and he never called back. I called him back (I WILL NOT BE IGNORED!) and he said that rashes need to be seen in person, but if it doesn't seem to be bothering her (itching, whatever) that it could wait till Monday. Now the rash is gone. I am thinking it was just food related or perhaps due to the heat?

Hope your little one is doing better!

Waiting for a news flash on the rash.
Poor little prickle-skinned Triscuit!
I'm so proud of you for getting out on the town with Josh.
That's a big step.
Now you know it can be done with minimal guilt and very little trauma.
Love you!
T.

Hope the rash is healing. Might be something simple so try not to worry too much!! You are like me, I always think the worst (5th Disease) of everything. Once Em had a fever for a week and I yelled at the DR and told him to make sure she didn't have Cancer... ahhhh, Yeah, I did that!

You know what's hard about the rash? It's really hard to figure out what they're from. I hope she's feeling better and it's clearing up.

I'm sooooo glad you got some alone time with teh hubby. You need that whenver you can get it.

Thank you for the birthday wishes..
XOXO
