This broken pack-n-play has turned into the biggest headache of all times. As you know our old one broke. I tried to return it to the store and they would not take it back because it had been purchased prior to 90 days ago. They gave me the manufacturers phone number so I gave them a ring. They shipped out a brand new one that was supposed to be exactly like that one I had but in a different color and with a different mobile. Fedex came and picked up the broken one yesterday. Today I got the new one and the bassinet part is half the size of the old one. I am LIVID. The bassinet is what Tris likes to sleep in, she hates sleeping on the floor of it. I put her in this new bassinet and she cannot even stretch out because it is so tiny.
I called the manufacturer and they are giving me a giant run around. I have to go to Babies R Us and get them to print out a detailed registry because I do not have the receipt. Then I have to fax the registry to the company, they will then mail out FedEx labels (via snail mail). Once I receive the labels I have to call FedEx and schedule a pickup appointment. After FedEx notifies them that the item has been picked up they will in turn mail me a refund. What a big stupid hassle! So once I get my refund I am going to turn around and go buy the same pack-n-play that I had before. AGH!

What a crock! We got our pack-n-play from Babies'R Us too, but haven't had any probs with it. It's a Graco though, not an Eddie Bauer. We say that one. What a small basinett it has! I'd be pissed off too!!! I hope they fix it!
Small basinett, indeed. I can't believe it's so hard to get it right. Deep breath babe...this too shall pass, but once you get the right thing!

I love the pack and play we had. I don't remember the brand. Sounds like the company is totally unreasonable.
That sucks that you have to go through all of that to return it.
Sorry you are having such a hard time... Why does everything always have to be so difficult? I hope Tristyn is sleeping okay until you get the other one again! Yikes!

Love your new blog - the font is hard for me to read though. I prefer fonts like Arial. You can just say, "Shut up Tee and use your glasses" though. LOL.

Hubby ended up liking the pack-n-play better because it had newer improved features so I sucked it up and kept it. Even though I love the other one a lot better. I recommend NOBODY buying Eddie Bauer products - even if the look 10x better they break. My travel system was defective and then my pack-n-play broke.

Tee - is it because the font is too small or just the font itself. I love Georgia font, my old blog was always in that! LOL!

Excellent site. You did a great job with the re-design.
I just wanted to say that it's okay to get assertive with the manufacturer. You are entitled to a replacement that is similar and suitable to your needs. The manufacturer did a big no-no by sending you that model, most likely because it was a cheaper or poor selling model. Don't be afraid to threaten them with letters to the Better Business Bureau or negative comments on product review sites.
It's such a pain, but I suppose it's better than no warranty at all.
