She grabbed onto our denim couches and started pulling up to walk around. Do you know how hard it is to get something white out of denim? Not to mention the overpowering smell of garlic in the ottoman, sofa, and carpet. It was absolutely hilarious so of course I pulled out the video camera and digital. I had to document her first big mess.

This week has been filled with long days working around the house and late nights as hubby had to stay at work to get some reports done several days this week. During the days that Josh had to work late Tristyn was a terror. She screamed and cried and wouldn't give up no matter what I did. I thought something was seriously wrong with her and started to worry. From the moment her father walked in the door she was the happiest child on the planet - a total 360 in her behavior. I believe she is going through the stage where she needs to be close to her father.
Like I said Josh has worked late several nights this week so I stayed home alone for several hours longer than I would have liked to. The chef in me has come out this week. On Monday I simmered a pot roast all day with red potatoes, baby carrots, and onions; by the time Josh got home the roast fell apart as soon as you touched it...total melt in your mouth kind of meat. Tuesday I did not cook because he came home late again and I was exhausted from my day. Wednesday I made a baked pepperoni rigatoni casserole that was extremely good. And then yesterday I simmered a pot of homemade chili all day. By the time Josh got home I was dying to take a bite, the aroma had been so strong that I could practically already taste it. Today is my Mom's birthday and she is coming over for dinner so I am making homemade chicken casserole, rice, mashed potatoes, black eyed peas, collard greens, and sweet cornbread. I know you usually don't make rice and mashed potatoes in the same meal but you have to have rice with this casserole and I just feel like making some killer homemade taters. Mmmmm. Looking forward to tonight ;)
This weekend I'm going to help my sister-in-law Ju register for baby items at Babies 'R' Us, I'm very excited to help her out. Afterwards we are going over to my BIL's to watch the Georgia game...Go Dawgs!
Sorry I'm so boring today. I've had so many things to blog about and then when I sit down to actually do it all my ideas disappear into thin ar. Go figure. Anyway, TGIF!

You're making me hungry!
That is too funny! Gracie almost found my Faygo pop today....eeek gads...getting bright red pop out of beige carpet? Not something I wanted to do :)
Yummy, all that food sounds awesome and I'm sure it turned out excellent. You go girl!
Aww, what a cute picture of Tristyn getting into trouble!!
Wow, you have been quite the chef. I need to take some tips from you and get my butt back into cooking. I haven't done much of it lately.
Good mess!
I love the pictures of kids after they eat. I don't, however, like cleaning up after it!
Awh! The photos are so cute and hilarious... That's her first big mess? You must be a very attentive mother! By that age both my boys had done awful things like scoop poop from their diapers and wipe it all over the crib. GAG!!
The dinner your making sounds so heavenly! Yum! :)
