Today marks another milestone in the development of Miss Priss, she has successfully drank her formula from a sippy cup all day. Surprisingly she likes the cup and really likes to hold it herself. She was holding her bottle by herself but would slack off and not hold it up high enough for the milk to come out. With the sip-sip she does not want any help from Mommy. I am hoping to get rid of the bottle for good, but we will see what Tris has planned.
Her top two teeth popped through sometime on Saturday. Hubby had her for the day while I was at the baby shower and when I got home that evening they had already come through the gums. You can barely see them but I am confident that by the weekend they will be very visible.
Tristyn is also trying to feed herself with the Gerber Little Dipper. She does not like it when I use the spoon to feed her, she swats me away. She is becoming so independent lately. Shouldn't it be too soon for my little baby to want to be so independent? I'm guessing this is only a glimpse into the future!

This weekend I hosted my girlfriends baby shower which turned out to be a total success. Everyone showed up and she received a ton of gifts. I was really satisfied with all of the preparations and creative things that I had made. I ended up making 2 diaper cakes, white chocolate candy stars (it was a moon & star theme), and a ton of balloon bouquets. On Sunday we had a surprise birthday party to go to in South Georgia so we spent the day with family. Tristyn got to see some of her family that she has never seen before so that was nice. The home that we were at was just so beautiful. I felt like I could sit on the back porch in a rocker for the rest of my life. I used to live in the country but since then living in the suburbs has been wonderful for me. Spending time in the country this weekend has really made me miss it.

We are home alone for the time being, Josh is working late seeing how it is the end of the quarter. I have had a pot roast simmering all day so whenever he gets home we'll have a hot meal ready. Tris and I might take a walk to end our day.
Happy Monday ;)

We tried getting Miss Grace to use the sippy cup but it was a no go. She will soon enough. They sure are growing fast aren't they??!! She's so stinkin' cute!!
She's definitely asserting her independance already. Watch out! Yippie for the sippy! Gabrielle uses the same cup. Glad the shower turned out nice. The country is pretty, but I prefer the suburbs... I like having a mall close by!
What a big girl! Delaney likes the sippy but she likes me to hold it.....crazy girl.
Pot roast sounds yummmmy!
and....I love her picture in the blue and white dress...look at those eyes!
Yay for the big girl! Photobucket isn't working :( I want to see the pics... I'll have to come back later.
