Today was B3's 27 week checkup. Everything looked great, measuring right on track and its little heartbeat sounded perfect. I weigh about 1-2lbs more than I did at my 6 week appointment, so I've gained back what I lost during the first trimester...which is awesome! The doctor was extremely pleased with my weight and so I am. I am really hoping to keep up and not gain much this time, so far that is looking promising!
I have definitely POPPED out during the past two weeks, no wonder I've been so tired! The belly just appeared overnight and I'm now receiving comments about finally looking pregnant instead of concern about how small my belly is. Those comments got quite old very quickly, so hopefully I won't have to hear them any longer.
Baby B3's strength has increased tremendously and is constantly on the move. It seems as though I feel a lot of hand movements around my pelvic bones, as if baby is opening and closing the hands or running its fingers along my sides, very weird! Baby loves being talked to, especially by Daddy. Baby definitely has a nap schedule going and seems to be right on key with my sleep times, AWESOME! It'll move for a few minutes once I get settled into bed and then won't make a peep until after I've awoken the next morning. Most mornings I actually wake the baby up by giving it a little jiggle and saying Good Morning! Hopefully the sleep pattern will continue until the little one is here in our arms ;)
Things are coming along in the nursery. The crib is in pieces and awaiting setup. I just need to get the bedding down from the attic and wash it, touch up the paint in the room and find a little dresser/cabinet for small clothing items. I also need to get the glider/ottoman from a friends storage unit and recover it. There isn't much to do, so I'm not stressing too much about it. Although I am majorly stressing over having the house painted before B3's arrival, who knows why!
I'm still wearing the same maternity jeans, which I think I'll wear the remainder of the pregnancy, and my normal tops. I haven't worn anything maternity yet other than my jeans. I'm sure that will change here in a few weeks, but I'm hoping by then I'll be in summer dresses and flip flops constantly.
Next appointment...30 weeks on 4/19.

You look great!! Good job on the weight! That's how I was with Logan, and I ended up wearing the same maternity clothes thoughout, so I wouldn't think you'd have to worry about it either. Now, the last two weeks I felt like I as constantly tugging and pulling, but 2 wks is doable, LOL! Hope it's the same for me this time, too!
Hey girly! Look at you all pregnant :) So cute! To answer your questions - we had 3D/4D ultrasounds with Alex & Luke. We told the tech that we did not want to know the gender, so they just stayed away from that area. However, we looked away & I had them print a pic of the gender & seal it in an envelope to have it after the baby was born (yeah, the envelope sat on my dresser for the remainder of the pregnancy & I never peaked!) 3D ultrasounds are so incredible! It is such a bonding experience! Have fun :)
